DENVER (AP) — Students, faculty and alumni at the University of Denver plan to protest next week when the university's international studies school presents an award to former president George W. Bush.
The former president will be honored for his service, as well as efforts to fight HIV, cervical cancer and malaria in Africa.
Opponents fault Bush, who served as U.S. president between 2001-2009, for starting the war in Iraq and allowing the use of torture on prisoners.
