BOSTON (AP) — Authorities who have been searching the Boston Harbor for a man who's been missing since last weekend ended up pulling a different man from the frigid water, officials said Wednesday.
Officers were searching for Eric Munsell behind the Long Wharf Marriott at about 11 p.m. local time Monday. Munsell was last seen at a bar in the nearby Financial District on Saturday night.
Police officers checking the water said they saw a man, wearing only a coat and boxer shorts, struggling to clamber up the stone wall. Police pulled him to safety.
However, the man did not speak English and it's unclear how he ended up in the water. His name was not released, but he is not the missing man authorities were looking for.
Munsell, 24, remains missing.
