FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) — A paratrooper with the Army's famed 82nd Airborne Division has been killed in a training accident at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
A statement from the division said two other paratroopers were seriously hurt in the accident, while seven paratroopers were treated for minor injuries and released from Womack Army Medical Center. The accident occurred Friday morning.
No further details were available.
The Army statement said the identities of the paratrooper will be released after next of kin is notified.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
