TULSA, Okla. —

Tulsa police are looking for the person who shot and killed one man and injured a woman in the parking lot of Tonight Inn and Suites on Admiral Saturday afternoon.

Officials said a woman flagged an officer on patrol down near Admiral and Memorial and said there was a shooting at the motel. Police said the officer found two people shot in an SUV. One of them was dead.

The shooting marks Tulsa’s 25th homicide of the year.

Police said they found the SUV around 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

“There was a female that was with him. She was shot. She went to St. John and I understand she will be fine,” said Sgt. Dave Walker.

Police went door to door talking to residents and finding witnesses. However, when it comes to a suspect and vehicle description, police said that not much is matching up.

“We’ve heard a myriad of descriptions. All of them being gold. I can say we have a gold vehicle,” Walker said.

Walker said he believes police are looking for one shooter.

“We are focusing on one main shooter, but not one main suspect. There may be someone in the car,” Walker said.

The victim was identified as 57-year-old Richard Parker.

Police are still investigating what led to the shooting.
