- Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, they began shooting into a nearby crowd
- Four were shot; three died
Baltimore police say four people were shot near the University of Maryland.
They responded around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to a shooting a few blocks from the campus.
Medics transported a man and woman to a hospital, where they died.
Another man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later, a fourth victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound. That person is expected to be OK.
A statement on the school’s website says police reported two gunmen in vans.
Those vans pulled over near a group of people and began firing.
Students were advised to avoid the area.
