The Tulsa Public School board voted on Monday night to buy uniforms for homeless students in the district.
TPS officials say there are an estimated 1200 students in the district that are considered homeless. The district defines students as homeless if they do not have a permanent address.
The uniforms will be purchased with public donations rather than school funding.
