New leads in the case of a missing Bixby woman point police to a creek bed across the street from where her car was found.
48-year-old Kelley Harris was last seen the evening of July 3rd. 20 days passed before police found her car at Bristol Park Apartments. Now they’re taking that search to the creek nearby.
"Basically we're looking for areas we can't get into, areas that look like they've been disturbed." said Bixby Police Detective Andrew Choate.
The creek is surrounded by lots of brush and thick weeds. Police say it would’ve been easy for anyone to discard her belongings in there. However, they’re hoping they can find some sort of clue that could lead them to her.
"She has children. She has a husband. She has brothers, uncles, cousins that want to see her come home," said Choate.
Police say they have spoken with a person of interest. It’s the person believed to have been driving her car while it was parked at the apartment complex.
Bixby police say when Harris disappeared she was carrying $860 on her at the time. They believe someone at Bristol Park apartment complex might have some answers.
If you have any information that could help police find Kelley Harris contact the Bixby police department (918) 366-8294.
