I can remember when I entered one of my childrens schools during an after school rehearsal and was told that I could not be there because I did not sign in at the office. The security guard then stated to me "haven't you watched the news about these children being molested by strangers walking into the schools?" I was extremely offended, and immediately stated, "while you are attempting to keep me away from my own children at this school what are you all doing about the child molesters who we parents are forced to hand our children to in the schools? Haven't you been watching the news?" This was three years ago. Unfortunately, my children attended LIndbergh elementary when Mr. Yerton was the intern assistant principal, and they were a part of his Chess Club. My son told me of a time when he thought that Mr. Yerton was going to pat him on his back, but instead began to rub up and down his back. My son said that he jerked away from Mr. Yerton and told him not to touch him. To that I say GOOD JOB! These types of people look for children with low self esteem or weakness that they can prey upon. They also look at children who are in trouble that no one will believe. These people make it hard for the many teachers out there who are doing their jobs because they love and want to help children to learn. These people make our children have to show distrust to those who are set in positions to help them. He is a disgraceful human being, like any other person who preys upon children.

Statue of limitations is 2 years on this sort of hanus offense? Dang ol bill collectors can chase you around longer than that! This is the sort of stuff that needs changed. What kind of value system are we working with here, when it's easier for a creep to scare a little kid into keeping quite than it is to get out of debt?
