People who work in and around the Tulsa County Courthouse said they were shocked by what unfolded at the Courthouse Wednesday afternoon.
“I have been an attorney for 20 years, and I am always at the Tulsa County Courthouse,” Sheila Naifeh, a criminal defense attorney, told FOX23.
Naifeh never had a day at the court house quite like Wednesday. When she heard there'd been a shooting on the plaza between the Courthouse and the Tulsa County Library she raced to a seventh floor window.
“I got a couple of good pictures that are pretty clear. I posted it on Facebook to kind of let everyone know what was going on and that I was safe, because I knew that was going to be all over the news,” she said.
Sheila took one snapshot while suspect Andrew "Joe" Dennehy was on the ground waiting for paramedics and another after he'd been taken to the hospital.
“I had just been on the plaza 30 minutes earlier, and that was scary because there are always people outside.”
Tulsa County Library employee John Fancher also snapped pictures that show Dennehy walking across the plaza with a gun in his hand.
As the photos progress, you see Dennehy looking around, barefoot, making no attempt to conceal this gun.
