Woman dies in single car collision

A Vinita woman was killed in a car crash around 2:15am Sunday in Craig County.
Shelly Long, 46, died in a hospital a few hours after a one car collision on Country Road, south of Vinita. Long was driving a four-door sedan, south-bound when the vehicle drove off of the road, struck the guardrail and went off of the bridge. The car landed on its top, in a creek.
Long was pinned inside the vehicle for 25 minutes before she was transported to a hospital. She was pronounced dead after sustaining multiple injuries from the collision.
Nolan Long was the only passenger in the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital with head injuries and external injuries. He was treated and released.
