A Tulsa woman gave birth to her seventh child, born addicted to crack cocaine. Now that mother, Daiquiri Miller, 34, is in the Tulsa County jail, charged with child neglect.

Police arrested Daiquiri Miller on Wednesday night. Miller is a mother of seven. Her four-week-old baby boy has been taken into protective custody. Child crisis detectives say the baby was born on March 31st, and tested positive for cocaine.

A social worker told detectives she was familiar with Miller and that she "did not have any prenatal care while pregnant." In an April 2nd interview, a DHS investigator said Miller told her she used crack "every day of her pregnancy."

Detectives say five of Miller's other children tested positive for drugs at birth.

DHS removed her first baby, a girl, back in 1997 when the child suffered a broken leg at the age of three months. Detectives say Miller had babies in 1999 (boy), 2000 (girl), 2006 (girl), 2009 (boy), and 2010 (boy). All of those babies were born addicted to cocaine or other drugs.

Miller has been charged with neglect for the last three babies; the statute of limitations has passed for the other births.

Miller has a lengthy history of drug and prostitution arrests, including a prostitution arrest in February 2012, while she was seven months pregnant.

She was incarcerated for possession of a stolen vehicle from 2001 to 2003.

She needs to get sterilized and get a job and start paying for her fatherless babies instead of making the taxpayers the "daddy by default. I wounder how much crack her welfare check has bought?

Addiction steals your very soul. I once had very close, very smart, funny, friend who became addicted after trying coke to lose weight. Her addiction turned her into a lying, thieving, prostitute who'd do absolutely anything including burglarizing her own mother, and trying to sell her baby years later for her next fix.

God Bless you TulsaNurse, you are absolutely right, this is not a new problem, it has been going on for so long, perhaps if people decided not to vote for politicians who simply look the other way and allow this, we could at least get some solution in motion. I am so sick of hearing of child abuse and death, if Oklahoma doesn't stop this cruelty to children and the elderly I fear we will suffer some terrible tragedy soon, God is watching us, whether or not you believe, He is watching.... Soddom and Gomorrah?

What an incredibly sad story. This story goes beyond an uneducated immature female who refuses to rise above her imprinted upbringing including labeling of name. This situation is the staple of Oklahoma statistics. At some point we must realize this is the problem Oklahoma faces. It is the vicious cycle of abuse matured and actuated into the system. This is what happens when uneducated or ill-educated individuals give birth, inflict imprinted bad behavior and mental illness upon their offspring. I think what upsets me most is that 40yrs later this continues. When do we as a society refuse to allow our children to be abused. Yes it is wonderful Tim Harris is outraged and wants justice for these little ones, but why has it taken seven children to set him into motion. Is not one little one lost enough. Why did it take seven little innocent lives to prompt his indignance. Perhaps this is the problem and why Oklahoma sadly claims one of the highest ranking states for child abuse. Perhaps it's time to review our way of thinking. Perhaps denial is not just a river in Egypt.

Brazen, you are absolutely right on one point, anyone can become an addict, but we all see and know what crack and meth does to you, even from the first time you try it, you are done for, so why would anyone try it the first time knowing what it does, it is a concious decision each addict made on their own, so to feel sorry for an addict is stupid, they knew what would happen, everyone knows....she should be locked up and kept locked up so she can't get drugs and sterilized, as should all mothers who use crack or meth while pregnant, we saw what happens with the woman who put her baby into the washing machine, she was an addict too....how many babies have to suffer and die before our lawmakers do something real, decisive to help them?

Who let her keep all those babies if they kept testing positive for drugs?!?! DHS really dropped the ball. They shouldn't have let her keep any of these kids. She needs to be locked up for life because I'm sure those kids will be paying for her decisions the rest of their lives! My heart goes out to those poor babies.

This is just wrong that is the question how many drug addictive babies are they going to continue to let this woman have it`s sad because the babies have no choice in this think about that babies are a blessing from God above not a cursing and also people that keep having babies that has already been proved unfit by a judge what`s up with that is that not wrong as well and while they are pregnant they smoke drink and being around and probably smoke pot themselves that`s just crazy .....
