Tulsa police arrest a woman for mixing chemicals to make meth inside a south Tulsa Walmart on Thursday.

Elizabeth Alisha Greta Halfmoon, 45, also known to go by Alisha Halfmoon, was arrested for endeavoring to manufacture meth at the 81st and Lewis store.

Police say surveillance video shows Halfmoon had been in the store since noon.  Six hours later security noticed she was acting suspicious, so they called Tulsa police.

Responding officers say she claimed she was "too broke to buy the chemicals."

“She didn’t have the money to make the purchases of the chemicals that were needed so she was taking what was needed in the bottle,” says Officer David Shelby.

Shoppers inside the store had no idea someone was cooking meth.

“This is a family store,” says Jessica Fuentes, who also had her 1-year-old son inside the store. “People need to start thinking. If she has family she needs to think about her family. If you are broke. It’s just wrong."

”When I saw her she had just finished mixing sulfuric acid with starter fluid in a bottle,” says Officer Shelby.

They immediately got her, and the ingredients, out of the store before any of the shoppers got hurt.

No one was evacuated.

“Something could have happened, something could have blown up in there,” says shopper Jonathan Tary.

“When firefighters were on the scene she made statements to them that is what she was doing, she was attempting to obtain these chemicals and was in the process of trying to manufacture meth. However, she said she was not very good at it,” says Shelby.

A responding officer didn’t know the bottle was active. As he was discarding the bottle the chemicals burned through the bottle and through his gloves.

He was treated for chemical burns on his hands and is okay.

Police say they arrested Halfmoon just last month in a smurf sting.  Smurfs are known among police as meth cooks or recruits who purchase pseudoephedrine to make meth.  The medication is often found in cold and allergy medicines and is the main ingredient needed to make meth.

Jail records show she was booked on November 6 and released from jail on those charges on December 6.

Records show she received a deferred sentence and bonded out on $7,500.

In this case her bond has been set at $100,000 and her arraignment is set for December 16th.

In October, Glenn Reese was arrested at that same Walmart with a backpack containing what police called an active meth lab.  Drainage ditches and tunnels in that area have been a common place for meth making and using, according to Tulsa police.

lilysgama, are you going to feel that way when your granddaughter, "Lily" is zonked out on speed? I can't believe this woman got a deferred sentence and bonded out, what kind of consequences it that for someone who puts a store full of people at rist? Idiot judges, should be ashamed of themselves, I hate to play the race card, but if that had been a young black man (or most likely a young white man) he would have done twenty years. What ever happened to equal justice for all? BTW, I am not black or even part....

Ok people like the energy that Meth gives you. They will buy street meth or do their kids adhd medicine to get the effect. To stop the misuse of these meds the govt should just let them have their speed back. Not bullscrap caffeine but real speed like they had in the 70's. Gone would be the Meth mouth and bad skin and the stigma that every walk of life from soccer moms to politicians feel when needing a boost. Plus it would probably alleviate some folks weight issues. In my opinion all drugs have good uses its the overuse and the hiding that gets folks in trouble.

Barack Obama freely admitted he was a doper. "Did you inhale?" he was asked. "Of course. That was the point." Funny, if you're a liberal and Obama says it. But liberals don't laugh when any conservative is accused of the same thing, as George Bush was. Most losers like this can be counted on to be Obama voters, for life.

OK, so this lady went to a Wal-Mart and according to the above story was there for 6hrs. This alarmed Wal-Mart security? I have spent 6hrs easy at kohl’s, or Dillard’s when shopping for new clothes and very close to that at Wal-Mart, and Target this holiday season. BIG DEAL. So according to store this alarmed Wal-Mart security and they called Tulsa PD. I FIND THIS HARD TO BELIEVE. Wal-Mart has what they call secret shoppers, Its people who dress casual and walk around store looking for ANY THING SPECIOUS, if they discover something, (THEY THINK IS ODD), then they call security who also follows them on camera, If they attempted to leave and wallyworld thinks they have stole something they will CHASE THOSE PPLs DOWN. I have seen 4 men chase and arrest, (WITH CUFFS), a lady over a 3 dollar baby blanket. MY point is this lady if thought by Wal-Mart was doing something wrong, was already being detained by Wal-Mart security, which found chemicals, mixed together in a container, and had not yet purchased them. RIGHT??? Yes they could be used for meth, BUT it was not METH, I see people in all big stores, Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart’s, drinking sodas, eating chips, even their children eating cookies, lunchables, all PRIOR to purchasing them. IT IS WHAT IT IS, should not be twisted around. Maybe possible theft charges, but she did not leave store and NOTHING BLEW UP< the cop who had chemical burn needs more training on what NOT TO DO. SO this woman is in jail on 100.000 bond for something other people do every day, Regardless of what could of happened or been, LETS KEEP IT REAL

FACT: Pseudoephedrine (PSE) is NOT required in order to make meth. There are at least NINE other substances, many of them easily available, that can be made into meth. FACT: PSE is the ONLY safe and effective decongestant available. FACT: Cold and allergy sufferers will be punished by this new law enforcement fad, while it won't affect meth production one bit. FACT: This WILL raise the price of PSE. FACT: This WILL raise the cost of health care. FACT: The DEA and the DOJ say that gel caps and liquid can be used to make meth. See for yourself: http://tinyurl.com/43q4b5c FACT: Gel caps and liquid are ALREADY being used to produce meth. See for yourself from this article dated 2005: http://tinyurl.com/3z7revt FACT: We have been told before that the previous laws have virtually wiped out meth production. We all know that turned out to be a pack of lies from the SAME PEOPLE that are pushing this new bill. See for yourself: http://tinyurl.com/cuzq3of (PowerPoint file) FACT: Any time a law is aimed at punishing law abiding citizens instead of criminals, it doesn't work.

You can't lock up addicts and think they are going to get clean. There are mpre drugs circulating in jails then on the streets. And yes you can get sulfuric acid any where, wal-mart is just an easy place to get it without getting caught. If she didn't spend 6 hours in there she would have been home free. Drug addicts are a different breed that has been created by the society, our doctors are the one that gets these people addicted to the drugs. Before anyone can say anything just be careful that your kids does not become the ones that you would like to kill and get rid of!!!!!

Disciples of Ramakrishna : Alisha HM is likely of Native American descent and disconnected from the eloquent heritage of her ancestors. As part of Andrew Jackson's 1838 Indian removal policy (Trail of Tears), Native Americans were forcibly relocated to Oklahoma. ...."We as Choctaws chose to be free than live under the degrading influence of laws which our voice could not be heard in their formation."
