Woman captured after escaping from custody in Mayes County

The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office said a woman that escaped from custody has been found.

Deputies said Laurin Justine Lemley was being held on a 30 day order for a misdemeanor when she got out of her shackles while being taken from the courtroom back to jail. Deputies said she only had one shackle on and has small hands.

The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force took her into custody on Tuesday.
