Seminole County deputies arrested a woman for animal abuse, after finding nearly 30 dead horses and another 64 malnourished.

Authorities arrested Carolyn Vaughn for animal cruelty. Vaughn claimed she was running an animal rescue operation. Vaughn was previously arrested in 2010 for animal cruelty charges.

Deputies say it will cost about $10,000 to treat the surviving animals.

She claims innocence..lol...a picture is worth a thousand words. But no worries she has already collected more animals!

I was told there was an African Grey parrot confiscated from this woman, and possibly other birds. I have extensive avian experience, and can offer the African Grey or another a permanent, loving home. Please contact me if any birds need new caregivers.

Was probably stocking up horses to sell to slaughter plants on the border, and the slaughter plant soon to be legal in Oklahoma. Then ran out of round bale in the winter and grass is coming late. None of this was invisible to the neighbors, including the rural route carrier. Even the passing sheriff deputy on patrol had to have seen it. No one said a word. But with legalization of slaughter plants, animal hording of big stock will be on the increase. Count on it.

Animals have feelings too. I can;t stand to see anyone hurt an animal. What ever she had done to those animals should be done to her. Let her starve for food and see how she feels when no one will listen to her crys.

I do not know what the maximum penalty is for her crmes but I do not think that they will be severe enough. if a person was convicted o murder before was then released and then killed 30 more times they deserve nothing but the death penalty. how could we hold this person to any other standard but that?
