Woman arrested for shooting her husband

Deputies have arrested an Owasso woman for shooting her husband around 9 p.m on Friday.

Vickie McNeely, 69, called 911 stating she shot her husband because he came toward her with a knife. She told deputies she thought her husband was trying to kill her.

When deputies arrived, they smelled alcohol on McNeely and she was slurring her words. Deputies found Daniel McNeely's body close to the front door with two silver kitchen knives next to his head.

They found a .38 caliber gun on a kitchen counter with all five shots fired in the home. McNeely was arrested on complaints of first-degree murder.

Her face looks like she has been beaten a lot, wonder if she has a history of domestic violence, I suppose she could have a history of drugs too, never know about these cases.
