A judge allows a Tulsa woman accused of pushing her husband to his death out on bond again. Amber Hilberling was released Tuesday afternoon from the Tulsa County Jail.
Hilberling is charged with second degree murder in the death of her husband, Josh, in June. Prosecutors say she pushed Josh, causing him to fall from a 25th story window at the University Club Tower apartments in downtown Tulsa.
Hilberling, 20, is under house arrest. She will wear an ankle monitor and not be allowed to leave home except for work, church and doctor visits. The judge said she will be arrested again if there are any further problems.
Her bond was revoked two weeks ago when she failed to wear a working ankle monitor and had several incidents of missed curfew. Her lawyer said the reason for that was that she was hospitalized for depression treatment and wasn't able to keep the monitor charged.
Hilberling's trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 20.
She gave birth to Josh's son in August. Her attorney says he's glad she is home with the baby.
Josh's family says Hilberling had prior incidents of domestic violence prior to his death. Police reports from Alaska, where Josh Hilberling was based in the Air Force and later discharged before the couple returned to Tulsa indicate several domestic incidents involving both Josh and Amber.
