A Sand Springs woman accused of plowing into cyclists with her SUV Tuesday is out on bond. Two of those cyclists died.
Tausha Borland was being held on $100,000 for two complaints of first-degree manslaughter. She had to come up with ten-percent of that to get out.
Christa Voss and Matthew Edmonds died after the wreck on State Highway 51 near 165th W. Ave. A third bicyclist was injured.
A trooper's report says he smelled a "strong odor of alcohol on Borland," and there was an open container in her car. Dept. of Public Safety records obtained by FOX23 show Borland's license is not revoked or suspended.
OHP says it is awaiting the results of a blood alcohol test.
TPD's traffic division tells us state law requires blood tests on the driver at-fault if there is a fatality collision. Drivers can still get behind the wheel, while the blood test results are pending.
Borland had a previous record of driving while impaired from 2007; her license was reinstated in 2008.
A Tulsa County court clerk says $50,000 bond is standard for manslaughter, even first degree manslaughter.
On Saturday morning at 10, Tulsa area cyclists will take part in a "Ride of Silence" to honor the victims, Christa Voss and Matthew Edmonds. It begins at 15th & Quaker and continues to the crash site in Sand Springs, where white "ghost bikes" stand as a memorial to Voss and Edmonds.
