A witness against a Tulsa police officer accused of corruption has been arrested on drug trafficking charges on Monday.
The police report shows Broken Arrow police pulled Alphie McKinney over near west Albany Street and north Elm Place in Broken Arrow around 10:30 on Monday night for driving without headlights. Records show the officer performed a check and found McKinney had a suspended license and the police dog alerted the officer to drugs in the car.
Officers say they found 48 grams of cocaine hidden in multiple locations in the car as well as small amounts of other drugs and $700 in McKinney’s coat. Police arrested him for drug trafficking; possession with intent to distribute; possession of marijuana; and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
McKinney was a witness in the corruption trial against Jeff Henderson. Henderson was acquitted of charges he violated McKinney’s civil rights.
