Officials say a large fire at a chemical plant in Custer County is now contained.

It's happening at the Danlin Industries chemical plant in the town of Thomas, about an hour and a half Northwest of Oklahoma City.

The flames were so large and widespread, the company now says the building is eighty to ninety percent gone.

Our sister station in Oklahoma City reports the fire is being allowed to burn itself out.

People who live near the plant were evacuated after explosions rocked the site.

No workers were inside and there have been no reports of any injuries.
