FOX23 was live on the scene of a water main break flooding the street in Sand Springs. 12 or more businesses were affected in the area of 730 East Charles Page Blvd.

Sand Springs police and city workers were on the scene, working hard to get things back to normal. The street was flooded outside the Atwoods store's front door and they had no water pressure inside the business until Saturday.

FOX23 spoke with Public Works Division Supervisor Ken Boswell, who said around 7 p.m., Friday night, a 12-inch water line broke. This water line wasn't very old either; it just broke for an unknown reason.

The affected businesses include Atwoods, Long John Silvers and A&W.

As of Saturday morning, FOX23 spoke with the surrounding businesses affected who said the maintenance is still ongoing in the area. Atwoods said their water pressure is back to normal but crews are still asking people to avoid this area until maintenance is complete.
