In downtown Tulsa, 4th street between Denver and Boulder was shut as city crews continue to fix a water main break.

The city crews have been out there for close to 12 hours now. They've turned off the water so it's no longer flowing out onto the street.

Now they are trying to find the break in the pipes, but water pipes aren't the only things running under this street.

As the city's water department worked on fixing the break technicians from the Oklahoma Natural Gas company, electric company and companies with fiberoptic lines were also out monitoring the work being done.

FOX23 learned that 4th street serves as a channel for several pipes and cable lines, so there was a lot at stake. The break happened around this 3 in the morning and the immense pressure from the water buckled the pavement and even caused a second pipe to break.

However, so far it does not appear any of the other lines and pipes were damaged as a result of this break or the work that's going on, crews are being careful.

FOX23 learned crews will be out throughout the night until the break is fixed and an engineer will come out to see how badly the pavement has been damaged, that will determine when the intersection can open back up again.
