The water main break in downtown Tulsa on Friday flooded parts of the Mayo hotel's garage, costing people hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Mayo's manager says the water caused $200,000 worth of damage, but it isn't stopping them from normal business.

Rick Guild parks his car in the garage at the Mayo.

"You know, today is Friday the 13th, and that's not usually a good lucky day, but today was a lucky day for me," he said.

That's because his convertible wasn't on the level that flooded.

"One other Porsche, I think two more Lexus; there's a lot of expensive cars down there. But it wasn't the Mayo's fault," he said.

He said his friend wasn't so lucky.

"I'm sure my friend will be real nice about it, but he's got probably two very expensive cars and a motorcycle down there," he said.

Even though the Mayo is still open, Guild moved his car.

"Well, because I just didn't want to take any chances that there might be more water, so I came out here and parked my car here," he explained.

The Mayo's manager said the only different thing is valet has a new route to take.

I am sure those expensive autos have full coverage . They could be have the problems I have , where mine was hit and I only had liability and they had no insurance at all . Life sucks and you go on !
