Two of the businesses in the Moore tornado path opened their doors on Wednesday.

The City of Moore's Economic and Development department reports there are 1,200 businesses within 1 mile of the tornado's path.

For eight days, the marquee at Warren IMAX Theater read "God Moore.” On Wednesday next to those words was "we are open."

"It was a big relief to open this morning," said Warren Theater Vice President of Operations Dan Gray.

The theater was in the direct path of the tornado. The building suffered minor damage on the outside and very little on the inside.

"It was a lot of cleaning," said Gray.

The theater also employees more than 200 who were able to get back to work.

The smell of butter and popping corn has been activated for “Iron Man 3 fans.

"We've been planning this till Sunday but we had to wait until it was open," said moviegoer Kyle Rice.

FOX23 News also talked to a family going to see “Epic.”

"They have been asking me daily, whether the Warren Theater is open," said a father taking his children to the movie.

Movies often provide a break from reality, but for many of the tornado survivors, movies have a new meaning of relief.

"There are a lot of bad things outside these doors and a lot of people are stressed out so it’s good to take a break,” said the father.

Behind the theater is Much Moore Sno that started serving snow cones on Wednesday.

"I think it's great that she painted it fresh," said Jennifer Penwell. "You drive by and all this disaster and sadness you see this bright snow cone stand. I think it's great."

Her son works at the stand and he was hoping he would have his summer job.

"He's been saving up for gas for his car," said Penwell.

FOX23 News has been following the damage done to Much Moore Sno, which was beat up on the outside but untouched on the inside of the building. By Friday, the stand was repainted and had a new roof. On Wednesday, the owner says she was ready to open to provide relief for her community.

"Kids working and families having a feeling of normalcy," said Donna Love.
