Friday night at 6, the Ice Storm Warning took affect in Tulsa and surrounding areas.

Some flights out of Tulsa International Airport are being canceled ahead of the storm.

FOX23 went to the airport to find out what you need to know before you head out to TIA.

FOX23 teams have been watching the screens at Tulsa International Airport and looking online all night to see what's happening with the flights.

There have been a lot of cancellations showing up, but I have found most of those are for morning flights.

The flights going out and coming in to Tulsa International Friday night show more delays.

Most of the flights leaving from Tulsa have already made it out.

But the monitors are showing the arriving flights are having a tough time coming in.

The airport is actually very quiet tonight and the only people we found hanging out there were those waiting for loved ones to arrive in Tulsa.

FOX23 spoke with Austin Moore, he's waiting on his girlfriend.

"Was supposed to be flying into Oklahoma City. Her flight was canceled based on the weather. So she had to fly into Tulsa. I'm picking her up from here at the airport and then driving her down to OKC. It's a little frustrating but you can't help the weather. It just happens."

That couple is trying to get to Oklahoma City to spend the holidays with family.

Moore still isn't certain if his girlfriend's flight will even make it to Tulsa, but he's prepared to wait.
