Police in three counties want to find two women they believe are professional thieves.

Police were put on their trail when they targeted a woman at a Walmart near the highway 51 and highway 69 intersections in Wagoner County.

Investigators say they went on a lightning fast spending spree after they stole an elderly woman's purse on September 9th.

They said the women started using the woman's credit card within 30 minutes.

"We can see the tattoo across her chest that we are trying to make out," said Wagoner Police Chief Bob Haley.

He believes it's a butterfly on the left side with "my sister's keeper tattooed" across the chest.

"We don't want any more victims," he said.

Haley said last month an elderly woman was approached at the Walmart.

"She was actually in the store in one of the aisles and the two ladies approached her," he said.

While she was distracted the woman, in her 60s, had her pocketbook stolen.

Police said 30 minutes after taking the report the thieves had already started a spending spree. They bought gift cards from Walmarts in Muskogee, Tahlequah and Sallisaw. Police say the women spent nearly $9,000 in two hours. The women are believed to be driving a silver 2010 Pontiac G6.

"To work as quickly as they did, doing what they did, even from the beginning distracting this woman even going from that taking a 15-minute, 20-minute trip to the store," he said.

As quickly as the theft began, Haley is hoping it'll end.

Police are focusing on the tattoo on the woman's chest. They believe that's a key in identifying the woman.

If you have any information on who these women are you are asked to call the Wagoner Police Department at (918) 485-5511.
