(TULSA, Okla.) February 9 - Five people are dead after a violent weekend in Tulsa. It started around 8:30pm on Friday near 25th Street and North Cincinnati at the Glass House Party Supply liquor store.
A man was shot in the face and killed. Police arrested Roscoe Joseph Dabney for the shooting.
The second shooting was on Saturday, this time a murder-suicide in west Tulsa. A husband shot and killed his stepbrother before taking his own life. Police believe the man went home and found his stepbrother inside the house with his wife.
Then around 7:30pm Saturday night police arrest a teenager after he allegedly shot another teen over his ex girlfriend. In that instance police say the two teens were arguing outside a home at the Carriage Village Mobile Home Park.
Just two hours later there was a fourth shooting, this time near 63rd Street and Peoria. When police arrived, they found one man shot at the River Glenn apartment complex. Police arrested
Tranell Travis, who allegedly shot another man in the back after an argument.
Then on Sunday, a homeowner fatally shoots a teen trying to break into his home. It happened around 1:00am in the 600 block of east 53rd Street north. The teen died at the scene.
Finally, later on Sunday morning a man is taken to Saint John Medical Center after he is shot in the torso. He was shot after he got into a fight with another man’s girlfriend.
Police say the girl’s boyfriend shot him near Booker T. Washington High School. Officers say the boyfriend and the girl left the scene together.
This morning police are still searching for that man.
Police say they have seen spurts of violence like this before in one weekend, but they’re still trying to piece together everything that happened.
