Tulsa police are investigating an apparent accidental shooting that left one man dead on Tuesday morning.

Police say two people were inside a car near west Archer and north Quanah streets around two in the morning when Robert Wesley Selsor was getting out of the car and accidentally shot himself in the chest with a semi-automatic handgun.  Selsor was taken to the hospital but later died.

Police interviewed the other person in the car, but that person was released.

Sounds like the other person he was there with lucked out, if he was getting out of a car with an automatic, I would think he intended to use it on someone, unless he was selling it to the guy, but then, why would you give it to a stranger loaded even if you were selling it to him. Something funny about this story.
