Viacom, Direct TV deal break down

DirecTV Group Inc. stopped carrying channels owned by Viacom Inc. because of a contract dispute. They include MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.

Is this an issue that will be resolved or can we expect the loss of those channels? We are long time subscriber to direct tv and my daughter misses the disney and nick channels
