BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say one person was killed when three cars collided on Oklahoma 66 in Creek County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol didn't immediately release the name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident about 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
According to troopers, the victim was in a vehicle that traveled left of the center line and struck another car. The second car was hit by a third vehicle.
The patrol says the victim was pinned in the wreckage for about 40 minutes before Bristow firefighters freed the person.
Two others were hospitalized with various injuries, and the others were treated at the scene or refused treatment.
The patrol says seat belts were in use by the occupants of all three vehicles.
