CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. - The U.S. Marshal's Service is on the lookout for a man who they believe has taken thousands of dollars from numerous victims.

Victims can be found across Green Country and the state.

FOX23 spoke with victim Brian Nutt, who said he found a man to do a project for him but it wasn’t completed properly.

"It was supposed to be a 12-by-20 shop and it was supposed to be finished in two weeks," said Nutt.

That was nearly five months ago.

Nutt said he found William Mounce on Facebook.

"He was about $400-$500 cheaper than everyone else," said Nutt.

He had Mounce come out for a bid.

"He was very, very slick. Usually I’m usually not easily taken," Nutt said.

Nutt also said Mounce asked for half of the money in advance.

Nutt said he gave him nearly $2,000.

"Fifty percent is probably 40 percent too much before the job is done," Nutt said.

Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chennault is helping work the case.

Embezzlement charges were filed just a few days ago and there is now a warrant out for Mounce's arrest.

"He has a lot of victims. We want to get him off the streets as quick as possible," said Chennault.

Chennault also said Mounce has victims in six Oklahoma counties and more in Arkansas.

Fox 23 was even sent video from a few of the victims, showing us their unfinished projects.

Altogether officials said Mounce has taken nearly $70,000 from people.

"This is what I got for $2,200," Nutt said, showing us his backyard.

Mounce left a pile of rubble in Nutt's backyard, leaving him very upset and angry.

"It’s very frustrating," said Nutt.

"I want him caught and stopped from hurting other people. That's much more important than the money."

If you've had a run-in with Mounce the victims have a Facebook group that they'd like you to join called "William Mounce ripped me off."
