Deputies tell FOX23 one truck ran off the road and jackknifed. All lights went out on the first truck and the second truck ran into the first.

One driver was taken to the hospital by helicopter. The second driver had to let free from his vehicle by the Jaws of Life and will be flown by helicopter to Joplin. A few hundred gallons of diesel fuel spilled all over the road, which is making for a longer cleanup time.

This wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. and the road has been blocked for over 4 hours. Traffic is starting to move slowly around this wreck, but all the lanes will not be opened until the wreck is completely cleared.
