Several areas in Tulsa are notorious for street flooding when heavy rain hits the pavement.

FOX23 News obtained a list of the city’s flood prone streets which include:
  • 4300 South Sheridan
  • 18500 E 41st Street
  • 20100 E. 11th Street
  • 1800 N. Mingo Road
  • 2900 N. Garnett Road
  • 11000 E. 36th St. North
  • 5500 N. Mingo Road
  • 100 West 81st Street
  • 8600 S. Elwood
  • 30th and South Riverside Drive
  • 800 N Lewis
  • 6200-6400 S. Lewis
  • Cameron and N. Denver Ave.

A spokesperson for the Tulsa Public Works Department says, “There are a dozen locations where street flooding is a recurring problem during heavy local rains, and where the cost of alleviating the poor drainage would be high,” said Bledsoe.

He also says there have been other roads on the list in the past but have been removed after drainage improvement projects.
