Tulsa's New Trash Service Begins

NeWsolutions Contract Officially takes over October 1st. If you signed up for twice a week pick-up or if you paid to have it picked up in your back-yard, crews will start doing that the week of October 1st.
With the pay-as-you-so program, if you put out excess bags, you will need to place an "extra refuse" sticker on the side. The city mailed everyone ten free stickers. You can purchase additional ones at Quick Trips.
NeWsolutions representative, Gary Percefull, recommends putting carts outside of your home by 6 am. He said crews could come pick up your trash as late as 8pm. Also, there are different trucks that pick up recyclables and trash, so if one gets picked up and the other doesn't, don't worry because crews should be coming later on in the afternoon. If they don't call NeWsolutions to report it.
