An elderly Tulsa woman spent two days on the floor of her home before Tulsa police officers found her.

TPD says the Officers Joshua Metcalf and Joshua Griffith were responding to a call to check on the welfare of a woman at a home in the area of 1600 E. 58th St on Thursday. Police say a neighbor called police because the 76-year old had not been seen in two days and was not answering her door.

Police say the officers went to the home around 4 in the afternoon and heard the woman calling for help from inside the home. Officer Metcalf saw the woman on the floor through a window and forced entry into the home through the front door to get to the woman.

Police say the woman had fallen and possibly broken her hip and had been unable to move for about two days. EMSA took the woman to the hospital for treatment.

EXCELLENT response time and correct action that posibly saved this poor lady's life, so BIG KUDOS to TPD!! Oh and--Yeah, let's make jokes about the Police Departmet that found the elderly lady on their first visit to the house. Wondering HOW you thought this could have come out differently, kindagreywolf??? As to the comment from Mayor Maynot: Hoping the family of this lovely little lady doesn't see your sad attempt at VERY dark humor. Would you both be so flip and heartless if this was YOUR mother or grandmoter? I certainly hope not! Shame on both of you.
