Tulsa police arrested a woman they say was growing pot in her children’s bedroom.
Veronica Thompson faces two counts of child endangerment, cultivation of marijuana and larceny from a merchant.
Police were called to a home in the 1000 block of North Irvington just after 9:30 on Valentine’s night. Police say they were called by someone who said their neighbor pulled a gun during a fight over loud music.
Police talked to Thompson who said she and her boyfriend were upset when neighbors asked them to turn down music. Police say the neighbor told them the boyfriend pulled a silver handgun and threatened to shoot.
Police say Thompson signed a waiver to let them search for the gun. Police say during the search they found a marijuana plant and growing lamp in plain sight in the closet in child’s room.
Thompson’s two children were home at the time of the search and are now in state custody. Thompson was arrested.
