Last fall, 17-year-old Nick Conroy of Tulsa, won a golden ticket most singers only dream about.
Nick won the grand finale show at Disney's Hollywood Studios American Idol Experience in Orlando and a Dream Ticket to this summer's American Idol auditions in Oklahoma City. The Dream Ticket allows him to skip first round auditions.
The Tulsa teenager said he lives and breathes music. "It's a way to relate emotion, it's my passion," said Nick.
His passion isn't strictly performing, he also enjoys the production and technical aspect of music as well. Nick shoots, edits and uploads music videos of himself performing on You-tube. "I just opened up a program and learned how to do it," Nick said.
He has a broad array of artists that he looks to for inspiration and the genre's he chooses to sing run the gamete. "I like Usher, Jason Mraz, Chris Brown," said Nick.
Nick said he isn't getting to worked up about the audition in Oklahoma City and will decide what song to perform based upon how he feels that day.
"I'm just so excited to be able to experience everything," Nick said, "It's a good nervous."
