Tulsa police are urging Tulsans to take caution for their morning commute on Wednesday.

Due to the overnight storms there are many traffic lights out and an extensive amount of downed trees and debris in the roadway.

TPD urges drivers to use caution at intersections because the lights may not be functioning properly. They remind drivers that the intersection automatically becomes a stop sign. Proceed as though there is a stop sign although there may not be one in place at that time. Crews are working to get a stop sign to all intersections that are affected.

City of Tulsa Public Works as well as TFD are working throughout the city to clear trees from the roadway.

They suggest allowing extra drive time due to the amount of downed trees and debris that may be causing the roadway to be impassable.
