Tulsa Police are searching for two men they say impersonated police officers, and robbed two people at an east Tulsa apartment complex late Sunday night.

Officers say the pair, wearing gun belts and carrying badges, approached a man in the parking lot of the Bristol Park Apartments. They asked for his ID, then escorted him back to his apartment, which they then ransacked. Police say they got away with some items.

On their way out, they ran into another man, asked for his ID, then robbed him in the parking lot.

Officers say the suspects took off in a green van.

If you have any information that can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

The word on the street is that they are security guards from another apt. complex and they are targeting hispanics because they have a tendency to carry large amounts of money.Their mode of operation is to ask for your wallet to check your i.d. then they run off with your wallet. This is not the first time this has happened only the first time it's been reported as hispanic don't often call the police.
