Tulsa police arrested a convicted sex offender they said threatened to blow up the jail.

Police said Daniel Zawec went to David L. Moss jail on Oct. 15 around 1 p.m. to sign up as a homeless sex offender, but detectives got information that Zawec was not homeless. They said he was living with his sister at a home that is near a school and Zawec is not allowed to live there.

Police said they asked Zawec to stand up and put his hands behind his back but he refused saying, “I ain’t going nowhere.” After he refused to comply several times another officer was called and used a taser on Zawec.

Police took him into custody and said he threatened to kill the officers and blow up the building.

"Do we know if he has the cabability to do that? No we don't. But he made those threats and we take those threats very seriously," said Ofc. Leland Ashley with TPD.

He said throughout officers' careers they have individuals that make threats towards officers.

"it just kind of goes with the job," he said.

Zawec faces charges of failure to comply with sex offender registration act, terroristic threats, and resisting arrest.

Sooooo Dirty Sermon you ever been there before? DLMOSS? Yea I was there once for no headlight on my bicycle. I have to cop out on that. Pigs stopped me before the sun had set and detained me until after the sun set creating the problem. So I do feel unjustly prosecuted in that matter. For the brief time that I was there they detained me in medical. Coincidentally at the same time there were two TPD being held in medical for possession and distribution of dangerous narcotics. All in all the officer is dealt with was very congenial helpful and thinking with the right hat. You know the one that says "we got bigger fish to fry". Great bunch of nice guys. As long as you treat them that way.

If it's not obvious who the aggressors are here, lets just say a serious look into how the Moss Jail is run is long overdue.

People say the funnyest things when they are being beaten and electrocuted. No one is holding the moral high ground here, but he did surrender, and TCSO did overreact.
