Tulsa police release crime statistics

The Tulsa Police Department released overall Part One crime report for 2011 on Wednesday.

The department categorizes murders, rapes, aggravated assaults, robberies, burglaries, larcenies and auto thefts as part one crimes. The department tracks the reporting of those crimes using the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports system.

They found reports of part one crimes were up by .09% for 2011. There were 25,884 part one crimes reported in 2011 compared to 25,664 reported in 2010.

Here’s the totals for each part one crime:

Homicide

   -2.4%

Burglaries

Hmmm, After getting all those cops arrested and fired the crime rate has dropped. I wonder if it's more than Coincidence.
