You're so worried about "speeders" (who are usually safer than drivers going 10 under) but you don't seem to be concerned about texters or other distracted drivers. That's the real problem. But it's so much easier to bust a speeder than a texter, or a drunk, or somebody putting their makeup on in the car...

My husband is in construction and I would like to see more cops at his construction sites. He works at night mostly and he says there are cops there during the day but not at night. I want there to be more cops at construction sites because I don't want to get that phone call one day saying an ignorant driver that was speeding and wasn't paying attention hit my husband and killed him. He has almost been hit several times over the past year even with their vests on and I worry if he's going to come home to our family in one piece. I don't speed or even touch my cell phone when I'm driving through a construction zone because I don't want to do that to a family when it could possibly happen to my husband. But I'm sure people will ask "well why can't he pay more attention to the vehicles?" My answer to you is this: He runs a one ton saw that is very loud and he's got to make sure it's going straight, he can't be not paying attention to his job and then get yelled at by his boss or fired. It's just like everyone else's job, if you weren't paying attention or doing what your job required, you would be fired too.

It would be nice if they would hurry up and get these construction sites done and over with. Everytime I drive (everyday) i never see anyone working. its ridiculous and a waste of our time and money!!! They have construction crap everywhere....all these projects started....and none of them finished. COME ON!!!!!!

Catching real criminals doesn't generate revenue for the machine...traffic citations do.

Don't the cops have anything better to do, like go after real criminals?
