Tulsa police say a homicide suspect was arrested on a separate charge while the arrest warrant was being issued for murder.

Police said detectives were applying for an arrest warrant for the murder of Monte Foreman on October 27th. Detectives developed enough probable cause to determine Chauncey Thomas was involved in the murder of Foreman.

The affidavit for his arrest was in the hands of the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office when Thomas was arrested on an unrelated burglary charge.

Police previously arrested Joshua Rogers in Tulsa’s 55th murder in 2013. Both Rogers and Thomas are accused in Foreman’s murder and police do not anticipate any other arrests in this case.
