Tulsa police responded Thursday morning to a report of a shooting in east Tulsa.
Police got the call around 5 am. They say four people were partying at an apartment at the Shadybrook Retirement Community, near 41st and Garnett, when the man who owned the apartment pulled out a gun and shot another man. After that police aren’t sure what lead to the shooter being shot.
One witness told police the shooter shot himself, others say the victim got a hold of the gun and shot back in self defense. Detectives are working to get to the bottom of what really happened.
Police have identified the shooting victims as 52-year old James Littlejohn and 39-year old John Cobb. Detectives say they were all friends and the apartment owner invited the other three over.
