Excuse me if I am wrong but libertarian ideals of gov't are based on Jeffersons' theory of democracy. The theory is that the gov't should have a very, very limited hand in our lives. They work for us not us for them. They should be held to a high standard. That's why I rag on them all the time,I feel like most crime prevention is revenue based and not concerned with true crime prevention. The police with hands tied and quotas sometimes as we humans will, get extremely frustrated and overreact to certain situations and make the 6 o'clock news and then everyone judges the whole law enforcement by the actions of a few.

I too consider myself to be a libertarian,I too have issues with the gov't and people who work for them overstepping their bounds ,an unchecked police force is very dangerous, but a police force with hands tied is equally dangerous .I still don't know what you are getting at but I still feel it is a break down of mankind when people act like this.I worry we won't last very long if we don't have some kind of order. My remarks are in response to the damn free for all drug and crime problem we have I feel our city gov't has turned a blind eye to it.I don't know how long you have lived here but there is a distinct ruling class here in Tulsa that doesn't take criticism well.Open up your eyes it might shock you.

Right or wrong aside I think it's pretty stupid to throw fireworks at the cops. But my comment wasn't related to the ethics of hurling fireworks at police...it was directed to your earlier remarks on this story and website.

Aleman maybe Tulsa wouldn't have such a huge meth problem if the Tulsa Police quit selling it? I don't understand your arguments that being critical of police is something "liberals" do. Perhaps the other trolls under the bridge or KRMG's radio station can explain it better. Signed, Not a liberal. (Libertarian)

You know, I just got out of the military. Spent 5 years as an MP conducting law enforcement on ft bliss and some other parts of the world. Never have I encounted a more rude, unprofessional bunch of police officers. I asked a tulsa cop near utica the other night for directions and he told me to map quest it. I'm sorry but I pay taxes that pay your salary. For you to throw attitude in my face is like spitting in your employers face. Tulsa police get out of OUR city we dont want you here. You do more harm than good. You're officers are to gung ho on kicking someones butt then Protecting and ASSISTING. So if you dont want to do your job which over half of you dont. Then turn in your pistol belt and pick up a spatula because half of you barely have the brains to flip burgers anyways.
