Pistol whipped and robbed, it happened to two east Tulsa men outside their apartment Sunday morning.
TPD told FOX23’s news partner, KRMG, that the attack happened at the Bristol Park Apartments near 44th and Garnett just after 4 a.m.
It was either a late night or an early morning for the two victims. FOX23 learned they were having a beer on their balcony when two men attacked them from both sides.
Neighbors FOX23 talked with didn't know about the robbery, but the news has them a little worried.
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon at the Bristol Park Apartments. People were out running errands, kids were playing soccer, but earlier on Sunday, it was a different scene.
Neighbors were shocked and a little scared after hearing what happened.
Tulsa police told KRMG the victims, two Hispanic men, were standing on the balcony of their apartment.
They noticed a red car driving around, but then it disappeared.
Shortly after, police said two men approached the victims from both sides of the apartment, both suspects holding guns.
That's when they pistol whipped the men, taking their wallets, among other valuables before making their getaway.
FOX23 went to the apartment office to get management's input on the robbery, but it was closed.
Neighbors, though, were very vocal about the whole ordeal.
Some of them have mixed feelings.
“I’m surprised. Well, surprised and then not surprised,” Karen Scott told FOX23 Sunday afternoon. "It's not a gated community, there are a lot of people who walk down those sidewalks, there are a lot of people who drive down that street. There's a lot of complexes back through here, there's a lot of people here."
On the other hand, Scott says security and police patrol the complex often, so there isn’t much trouble.
Still, after hearing what happened, everyone FOX23 talked with in the complex says they'll be on the lookout.
Police don't have much of a description of the suspects, except that they are 2 men, either in their teens or early 20s.
Police did say a woman was driving the getaway car.
