Tulsa man dies when hit by a car

A Tulsa man died after being hit by a car near Tahlequah.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Timothy Casey, 53, was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 62 when he was hit by the car. The accident happened 3 miles from the Tahlequah city limits.
Casey died at the scene. The driver told troopers he could not avoid hitting Casey, the driver was not hurt.
