Firefighters are training to make sure they're prepared for any type of emergency.

On Friday, about a dozen firefighters rappelled down the side of buildings. These men make up part of the Oklahoma Task Force One group. This specific group of Tulsa firefighters helped the rescue efforts in Moore after the ef5 tornado in May.

They have to train four times a year to meet FEMA requirements.

They aren’t letting the heat slow them down.

"The squads that are out there doing the rescues need to they need to be able to be proficient at that skill because when someone is in trouble time is key,” said R.B. Ellis, with the Tulsa Fire Department.

Ellis said they are watching each other and staying hydrated during training.
