Tulsa firefighters say strong winds are to blame for a house fire spreading on Thursday morning.

The fire broke out just before nine at a home near East Young Street and Toledo. Firefighters say the fire started in the attic and quickly spread to the garage. No one was home at the time of the fire, but a cat was killed.

Investigators are working to determine how this fire started.
