Tulsa firefighter injured fighting apartment fire

A Tulsa firefighter is in the hospital.

He was hurt while responding to an apartment fire in north Tulsa. The fire broke out around 6 a.m. on Friday morning.

The firefighter was about 15 feed up a ladder when he fell. TFD said he is getting his shoulder checked out.

Firefighters told FOX23 the fire started when someone fell asleep smoking in bed.

Firefighters said another house fire was arson.

That fire started around 7:45 a.m. in north Tulsa. Neighbors called 911 when they saw smoke coming out of the roof of the house.

Firefighters said a fire was started in two spots, they have not determined what was used to start the fire. No one lived in the home, but people were seen in the area last night.
