FOX23 uncovered more school bus delays.

It's an ongoing problem at Tulsa Public Schools.

FOX23's Janai Norman talked to an aunt who was dropping off her two nieces late because the bus was more than 30 minutes late.

Kelly Goodroad reached out to Norman after getting a call asking she take them to school.

She said the call came in at 8:10 Wednesday morning, a full 38 minutes after the bus is scheduled to pick up at their stop and just five minutes before school started.

She said her niece posted on Facebook, “it’s cold and our bus isn't here again,” then later in another post wrote they walked back home because the bus still hadn't arrived and her hair had frozen.

The teen said the frozen hair was how you know it’s cold; her aunt said that's how you know there's a problem.

“We've heard every excuse from the buses wouldn't start, to we pick up the elementary kids first sometimes they're hard to manage so it's hard to stay on a schedule, just figure something out because in the end it’s these kid's education that's suffering,” said Goodroad.

This story is a bit overblown . . . of 173 buses transporting 19,000 kids in the snow, ONLY THREE had any kind of delay. Frankly, that's amazingly low. Let's please turn down the manufactured hysteria on bus delays. Thank you, Chris Payne, PIO, Tulsa Public Schools

It is truly ashamed we rely on these buses, people who work to help our kids get to school to recieve their transportation and the most they can do is give excuse after excuse as to why they are slacking with their job! Whats next when we are constantly having to take off work to take our kids to school and we lose our jobs? Will they be giving us the jobs to assure we even have income? yes seems a little extreme but thats reality! YOU HAVE A JOB AND DUTIES SO DO WHAT IT IS EXPECTED!If they are in need to fix these broke down buses speak up, I'm sure we could find many volunteers. If there are that many issues they should be arriving to work extra early to assure parents are notified immediately to arrange time! anything could happen to these children and going to work everyday wondering if the bus will come is something parents do not enjoy doing!!!!!! get it together people!!!!!
